runDisney Springtime Surprise Race Weekend 2023 Costume Inspirations: Tron!
Are you looking for costume ideas for the upcoming Springtime Surprise race weekend at Walt Disney World this April?
The race weekend takes place April 13-16, just days after the highly anticipated ride Tron: Lightcycle / Run finally opens at the Magic Kingdom. The ride officially opens on April 4th.
Why not use Disney's newest attraction as inspiration for your race weekend costume? There are a lot of costumes geared for athletes available from shops on Etsy, including a few of my own. Here are some favorites, along with some fun accessories.
Quorra from Tron: Legacy
The character of Quorra, from 2010's sequel to Tron, was played by Olivia Wilde. She wore a stylized catsuit style outfit with the iconic lighted lines that stood out against the black background. These pieces are all inspired by her look, but note that none of these actually light up or glow in the dark.
Flynn from Tron: Legacy
The character of Sam Flynn, also from the 2010 Tron sequel, was played by Garrett Hedlund. His father was Kevin Flynn, the character played by Jeff Bridges in both Tron and its follow-up.
Like the Quorra items above, this shirt has a printed effect that makes it look as if it glows, but it doesn't actually light up or glow in the dark.
